We got home from work yesterday and started on the remodel! My only wish is that it would be just as easy to put the new stuff in as it is to demo the old stuff. hahahahaha. Pipe dreams, right there.

Today, Phil's working on the floor. It turns out that there was our crappy floor, a layer of wood stuff that kinda looked like hardwood, and another layer of linoleum, but that's not even what he found in the closet! The closet had a different kind of stuff under the faux hardwood. Nice. On the good side though, the floor looks good under the three floors! The tile will look great! We picked out the tile Wednesday at Home Depot. It was closest so we just went there. We also got a vanity and some more boxes! They were on major sale. Izzy enjoyed running up and down the isle while we chose the tile.
Plumber coming tomorrow! He'll help hook everything up that we need new stuff for.
Budget:
$700 for tile, hardibacker, vanity/sink ($200) and some boxes
$42 trip to the dump
Anticipated budget for later
$1000 for the plumber
$500 hardware for shower, sink, and walls
$100 more trips to the dump
So, it was a productive night. There's no turning back now.
